Nanophotonics deals with the light-matter interaction at the nanoscale. Our present work focus on:

. Studies of optically enhanced nonlinearities in nanostructured glasses containing silver, gold or rare earth doped ions;
. Studies and applications of random lasers exploiting dye embedded nanoparticles or nanostructured semiconductor materials;
. Fabrication and characterization of MOCVD grown semiconductor nanostructures;
. New concepts in photovoltaic cells.
